SQUATTING
O projeto explora o conceito do Squatt (ocupação) como prática artística. Deixando o local tradicional dos espaços expositivos propôs-se ocupar temporariamente os estratos e nichos de jardins. Dezenas de seres fictícios – em esculturas de cerâmica – são integrados aos ecossistemas: terrestre e aquático. Painéis indicativos, colocados em quatro pontos do jardim, auxiliam os visitantes na descoberta das espécies mimetizadas. Os seres naturais e ficcionais se aproximam, pela forma, pelas cores e/ou pelas texturas; parecem conviver numa simbiose perfeita. Um diálogo se estabelece entre a vida e a sua alusão pela organicidade e pela coexistência no habitat natural.
The project explores the concept of squatting as an artistic practice. Departing from traditional exhibition venues, the project proposed to temporarily occupy the strata and niches of gardens. Dozens of fictitious beings - in ceramic sculpture - are integrated into the ecosystems: terrestrial and aquatic. Informative panels, placed at four different points in the garden, guide visitors in the discovery of the mimetic species. Natural and fictional beings approximate one another, through form, colors and/or textures, and they appear to live in perfect symbiosis. A dialogue is established between life and its allusion to organicity and coexistence in the natural habitat.
